Mika has lauded Lucy, a 13-year-old blind musician, as "jaw-dropping" for her exceptional performance as one of the final four pianists in The Piano, a Channel 4 program searching for the UK's most talented undiscovered pianists. The program features Mika, Lang Lang, and Claudia Winkleman as judges. Lucy, from West Yorkshire, competes with Jay, 25, from the Isle of Wight, Sean, 27, from Edinburgh, and Danny, 26, from Manchester in the finals. Mika discovered Lucy, who left Lang Lang speechless with her rendition of Chopin's Nocturne in B-flat minor, and expressed his admiration for her in these words, "Magical things happen with music that are against all odds and all limitations. It's astonishing when it happens. When it happened in Leeds, when Lucy performed, it was jaw-dropping. It was the most humbling thing you could possibly see. We didn't expect any of this. She's not playing to be a superstar. She's not playing to sell millions of records or get millions of streams."
